Sometimes the seemingly random thoughts that cross our mind aren’t really random. We may be picking up on energy, emotions or thoughts of people we’re connected to, similar to a spider sensing when an insect hits its web.
You’ve probably had the experience of a friend popping into mind, only to receive a phone call from them later that day. They may have thought about calling you earlier, and – depending on the strength of their psychic connection to you – that thought broadcast to you in a way you could sense.
Or maybe you were about to leave for work, and a thought crossed your mind that you should take a different route. You ignored it and got snarled in traffic. As you sat at a standstill roasting in your car, you realized that the nudge you felt earlier to go a different way came from picking up on the frustration of the other commuters already caught in the jam.
Today, be aware of the thoughts that cross your mind. Which of them are really your intuition talking to you?
If you have an example from your life, please feel free to share.
I feel like there are many times that I "hear" things that have nothing to do with me or that I "feel" other peoples stuff, especially family. I would really love to able to not pick this stuff up. It feels really crappy. I love all the class titiles you listed that you were going to do at GW I guess that is going to my next challenge , to get myself in the position to be able to attend them all when Linda is back up and running. Sometimes I feel like a radio antennae not fun!!!!!!!! I love the title "Tumbled Rocks!)I saw a st sign today (Crazylegs Ln) by the stadium. I thought it was hilarious gonna take a picture of that sign I like it when we see things like this and they strike a cord in us.
Patty, ahh, you’re an empath. There are a couple suggestions in a blog entry from a couple weeks ago about shielding techniques for empaths: http://debramorrill.posterous.com/2-shielding-techniques-for-empathsI urge you to read the comments on that blog also, as several people left helpful suggestions. Over time, through trial and error, we can develop the ability to turn the volume on the radio station up and down.
