It can be frustrating when we lose our keys or misplace an important piece of paper. But most items are not lost, just misplaced. All things have energy, even inanimate objects. We can use that energetic connection to locate the missing item again.
Several energetic techniques can help find lost objects:
· Use a positive affirmation to set your intention to find the item. One such affirmation: “That which is mine will come back to me.” Repeat it over and over again like a mantra.
· Use your body like a dowsing rod to find the object. Take a few deep breaths to get centered and grounded, then state your intention to find the item. Picture it in your mind’s eye, then tune into your body. Walk around your house following the sensations in your body. For instance, your body may feel heavier when you are moving away from the item and lighter when you are moving toward it.
· Sleep on it overnight. Place your request to the Universe to find the item before going to bed, and when you awake in the morning, look in the first place you are drawn.
· Do a meditation to find the object. Close your eyes and picture yourself seated in your living room. In your mind’s eye, visualize yourself getting up and walking to the item. Where are you drawn to move? You can also go back in time when you last remembered having the object. Replay the scene and observe where you put the item.
· Ask for help from Spirit. Some of the spirit helpers who may be of assistance include the guardian spirit of your home, Archangel Chamuel, and St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost objects.
Be prepared for the answer to your request to come in an unexpected form. I once prayed to Archangel Chamuel for help finding several photographs tucked away somewhere in my apartment. Five minutes later my cat went to a bookshelf in my bedroom, stood on her hind legs and nosed an envelope barely visible between two books. Which of course contained the photographs. Had I not been aware and in the present moment, I may not have connected my cat acting strangely with my request to find the photographs.
Anybody care to share a suggestion for recovering a lost item?
Very cool story about your cat. It’s easy to forget to look for the answers that come in unusual ways 🙂
About a week ago I set out an Alleve on the kitchen counter for my husband, but when he went to get it, it was gone, mysteriously. We look everywhere!!! We were quite concerned because we have 3 curiously naughty cats and thought one may have ate it. After a brief freakout, I called upon our house spirit for assistance. I returned to the kitchen and looked in the fruit bowl and there it was! Very grateful and surprised by the turnaround!! It really does work!
Amy, your house spirit was certainly helpful! Temporarily moving the pill to a safe place so your cats couldn’t get it, then helping you find it so you wouldn’t worry. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your story!
Love your advice to pause and get centered. Once I was frantically searching for an important paper. I’d checked the file where it belonged several times, rummaged through my desk, even rooted through the trash. Finally, I paused, calmed down and asked Spirit to lead me to the paper. I started my search over, back to the original file I’d already looked in. Nothing. I started to slide the file back on its shelf when it suddenly tumbled from my hand and fell to the floor, scattering papers everywhere. My temper flared, but — just like you with your cat — it occurred to me that this was a message. I took a big breath, reached down and started to gather up the papers … and there was the document I had been searching for. Gifts await if we just ask in grateful expectation. Thanks so much for a message that can make all our lives more peaceful!
Elliot, yes, unusual ways are some of the best ways to get answers, or at least the most interesting. 😉 Kind of makes me wonder how often we miss signs and messages because we’re so into doing our own thing that they pass us right by.
Greer, thanks for sharing your story! An excellent example of being in the moment and being open to receive in unusual and unexpected ways. What you said about asking in "grateful expectation" resonates with me. 🙂
