One of the best things about being a shamanic practitioner is witnessing the growth of clients and students.

When I ask what positive shifts they’ve seen since the last session, their response may be “not much.” When they start to share, it’s clear the seemingly little changes are pointing to something much greater such as a newfound sense of peace and openness, clarity around a vexing issue, or a change in perspective leading to a deep transformation.

I love mirroring for clients because the changes may not be in their awareness yet. Through sharing what I notice, they might gain additional insight and begin to see the patterns I’m picking up on.

They might also say, “It’s hard to put into words. I just feel more like myself.” I smile because this statement indicates they’re integrating from the soul retrieval work they’ve received.

When a client comes for a session after several years, the shifts are often even more noticeable. I read in their energy the journey of self-growth they’ve taken since their last appointment. It warms my heart, and I cheer them on.

One of my teachers used to say, “Less is more. Little is big. Slow is fast.” Nowhere is this more true than in spiritual healing.

This work is real, and it matters.
